Nelnet offers six internship tracks — Traditional, Pathway, Catalyst, IT, Legal, and AI Cohort. Whether you know exactly where you want to go or you’re still figuring it out, there’s a place here for you.

Yes — all Nelnet internship programs are paid positions with flexible hours that work around your class schedule.

Real work — from day one. Nelnet interns contribute to meaningful projects, take on real ownership, and work alongside full-time associates on work that actually matters to the business.

Schedules are flexible and agreed upon between you and your manager, with a minimum of 15 daytime core office hours per week. We want you to have a great internship experience without sacrificing your education.
