On March 6, a group of 13 Nelnet associates and friends buckled their boots and hit the slopes at Winter Park’s Mary Jane base area for the 27th Annual Invest in Kids (IIK) Jane-A-Thon — a ski-and-snowboard fundraiser supporting early childhood development programs across Colorado. Together, they raised nearly $13,000 toward IIK’s $400,000 fundraising goal.
The Jane-A-Thon is more than a day on the mountain. It’s a tangible expression of one of Nelnet’s core values: giving back to the communities where associates live and work. Nelnet has a long history of participating in the annual event, and its associates have consistently ranked among the top fundraisers.
“Skiing is easily my favorite activity, so starting to support Jane-A-Thon 10-plus years ago was an easy decision,” said Bill Munn, Executive Director, Legal Counsel and the Nelnet team’s leader this year.
